Snir

Snir is a 21 year old sergeant in the combat engineering unit of the IDF. On a weekend off from his base, Snir was attacked and sustained a severe head injury. Since the injury Snir underwent surgery three times. He still suffers from numerous mental and physical difficulties. Snir goes back and forth to Tel Hashomer Hospital for treatments and his out-of-pocket is high as no reimbursement is being provided. In October 2009, the Dror Foundation distributed $1,662 to Snir so that he could successfully complete a process for his injury to be fully recognized. In 2011 the Dror for the Wounded helped with an additional $1,359 for a laptop to ease Snir’s long commute time to treatments.
